Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2019 with the theme “Africa Unites” which took place on the 20-21st December 2019 at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.

The Fashion Event was well attended by top personnel such as Ooni Of Ife, The wife of the Governor Ogun state, the Wife of the Governor Ekiti state, Wife of the Governor Of Kwara state, President of Fashion Association Of Nigeria (FADAN), Executives from First Bank Of Nigeria plc, senior personnel of the Lagos state Internal revenue, Celebrity photographer- Kelechi Amaobi and other personnel to be mentioned.

Ooni of Ife gave an award of excellence to the wife of the Governor Ogun state, Wife of the Governor Ekiti state, Wife of the Governor Kwara state for their active participation in the campaign of our own fashion in heritage, “Adire”, “Asooke”, local traditional beads to the global World  despite their busy schedule. Ooni Of ife further advised them not to stop the good works, we must protect our fashion in-heritage, the global world must not take it away from us.we must tell our Africa story our self not the western world telling us our story.
