A Modern African Cultural Experience

AFWL is the largest and longest running, culturally diverse fashion and trade exhibition in Europe. Since its creation in 2011, AFWL has left a legacy showcasing 900 designers, in front of an audience of more than 70,000 attendees, and represented more than 50 countries with 30 of them being African.

AFWL is one of the most coveted cultural and culturally diverse fashion and trade show events in Europe with more than 3.3 million views across multiple platforms and 34 million impressions online.

This year‘s event is destined to mark a milestone in our history. This year sees the inclusion of several commercial facets designed to enhance the experience of attendees and exhibitors.

We have an exciting new structure to the event:

• African Souk

Visitors will be transported into Africa with our African Souk the space promises to showcase new and aspiring African fashion designers and accessory companies housed in an authentic display of some of Africa’s most innovative designs.

• Business Forum / Workshop

This year we have created a business ‘forum, offering guidance and advice to aspiring designers, as we curate talks and panels from leading manufacturers, retailers and government officials and in all areas relating to fashion. There will be an opportunity for attendees to get up close and personal with their favourite designers with a presentation space offering question forum.

• Luxury Boutique

We’ve decided to include the luxury market space, designed to showcase some of the leading and will established brands within African fashion, there are a number of brands travelling from overseas showcasing new collections never before seen in the European market.

• African Food Village

This year sees the new inclusion of our food village showcasing more than 4 African catering companies and brands with food from all over North South East and West Africa. With our lovely eating Galleria designed for you to enjoy your food with friends and network with other attendees.

• Fashion show

This year there is a selection of 5 fashion shows taking place on both days with a focus on sustainability, eco fashion and diversity.

We are hosting the first charity fashion show in association with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund UK. We have a wide celebrity attendance including Richard Blackwood, Moelogo, Shingai Noisettes, Atumpan, and from the United States Aaron Hall and Bradley Theodre.
